One of the UI Police Department's main values is Education for all members of the community. There is a strong correlation between staying safe and staying informed. The Department of Safety offers a variety of services to help community members prepare for emergency situations, stay aware of any local crimes, and be notified of a dangerous situation in the UI Community.
Emergency Communication

Emergency Procedures
Every member of the UI Community should be aware of the proper procedures to follow in the event of an emergency. The Department of Public Safety makes it easy for you to obtain and print off the University of Iowa Emergency Procedures Guide as well as the Critical Incident Management Plan.Â
