UIPD makes arrest in connection to Sept. 29 Hawk Alert

The University of Iowa Police Department has made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery reported near Rienow Hall on Friday, Sept. 29, which led the department to issue a Hawk Alert.

UI Police arrested Robert Walker, 18, of Iowa City, on Nov. 30. He is charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, in connection with the Sept. 29 incident. Walker was also charged with interference with official acts and fifth-degree criminal mischief, both simple misdemeanors, in relation to his apprehension on Nov. 30.

UI Police served a warrant to a second suspect who was already incarcerated for a different criminal offense on Nov. 21. The suspect, a juvenile, is charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, and carrying weapons, a Class D felony in connection with the Sept. 29 incident.
